Ha, great point!

One other factor here: laypeople can only encourage these unions to strike, and offer support if they do. Boycotting is something all of us can do proactively, without delay.

Great piece. Agree that we need to attempt the kinds of interventions now that were needed under Nazi rule. For example, a US air travel boycott makes sense in 2025 for much the same reason a boycott of German railroads would have made sense then. Please join and amplify: groundtheplanes.com

Or that the boycott lasted a full year! It was a resounding success but not an overnight one. And it relied on a lot of people simply walking or carpooling, day in, day out—not glamorous, but effective.

I also think part of the problem is we're taught the telegenic shit but not how it's in service to larger political or economic gains. Like we don't really talk about how the Montgomery Bus Boycott was specifically about forcing the bus company to choose btwn integration or bankruptcy
