The thing you have to wrap your head around is that there are 2 ranges at play: an activation and an active range. Once activated the trigger won’t deactivate until the subject has left the active range.

So much of the hideous bullshit of modern business makes a lot more sense after you realize that the “customer“ for the products being peddled aren’t actual human beings that go “Oh, that looks good, I’ll buy that,” but the investors shoveling money into the burn pits of these go-nowhere companies.

Have any of the CEO considered that AI can be the end of the world but not in a cool smart way as in Matrix, but in a dumb cringe way?

For instance, they trust it to do important things and it puts uranium in food for the calorie efficiency?
