I’m not a lefty or a righty. I hold no loyalty to lobbyist. I gain nothing bitching online. And I, working class poor (house of with child under $70000/year) clearly see that our society fails when we don’t support, lift up and celebrate federal workers. They do what they do in service.

When did people become convinced public service was a grift? How dense do you have to be to not want public servants?!

Geekstapo 😆😆😆 That shit is fucking funny.

Why tf is Geekstapo anywhere near these systems? While I appreciate Wyden’s strongly worded letter it is past time to shut this shit down.

Elon Musk’s Team Now Has Access to Treasury’s Payments System
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave Mr. Musk’s representatives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency a powerful tool to monitor and potentially limit government spending.

It’s crazy how blatantly slanted towards this kleptocracy the stories airing on the mainstream tv news are.

“Go fuck yourself” is the correct response.
Former D.C. Metro police officer Michael Fanone to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes:

"Go f*ck yourself."

Is Klobuchar’s speech to give Trump cliff notes on how the government is supposed to work?

Good morning to you and every other American yelling Fuck You! at their TV screens this morning. Those are my people

Lina Khan is one of the few reasons this government isn’t a *total* failure. So much respect for her work!
"OptumRx, the group’s pharmacy benefit manager, along with its two main peers, Express Scripts and CVS Caremark Rx, have pocketed an extra $7.3 billion over cost thanks to price gouging, according to the findings of a report by the Federal Trade Commission."

I loved it!
2024: Hey now. Let's be careful that we don't celebrate crimes against the rich.

1980: These ladies got high and kidnapped their boss. They were heroes and one of them got his job and did it better.

There was also a hit song about corporations exploiting workers.

America loved it.

Waking up to read the opinions of all these folks wanting to “I told you so” those who voted for the felon and are now scared about Medicare, social security & VA entitlements. Well, if you “told them so” in a way that wasn’t smug or elitist maybe we wouldn’t be in this situation.

Oh snap! That was next level trolling.
I love how Denmark isn’t taking any shit from Donald Trump. 🇩🇰 🤣

C’mon folks! There’s no doubt Heggie is a POS. To prove he’s a drunk too we gotta do better than a NYEs broadcast as evidence. Drunk anchors on NYE is a kind of brand. I did read his kids were there and possibly having champagne but it read as a footnote. Him being a drunk dad is way more telling.

I’m real tired of these guys’ shitty behaviors being shoved in my face. If you want to act like an uncivilized asshole you don’t get to have status
When Pete Hegseth visited senators on Capitol Hill this month, he was escorted by a security guard with a dark episode in his past. The guard, a former Army Special Forces master sergeant, left the military after a 2019 training event in which witnesses said he beat a civilian role player.

John Hasenbein, who has escorted Donald J. Trump’s pick for defense secretary to meetings on Capitol Hill, said he was unjustly prosecuted for the 2019 episode.

This is a great thread for those able-bodied folks who want to be helpful.

I hate asking for help. I don’t have the energy to navigate feelings on the kind of help I’m asking for. I know what I need and am grateful for assistance that fits my needs.
When you’re chronically ill - one of the hardest things to do is ask for help.

We know our bodies best - and by the time we’re asking for help we’ve exhausted ALL available options.

We aren’t looking for your random suggestions about how we should do yoga or touch grass 🧵

We will all become disabled if we live long enough. Fighting for this safety net is a fight for every American.
As someone on SSDI I can't tell you how it hurts to listen to people speak about Social Security and Medicare but fail to mention the populations who subsist on these programs:

Seniors: 77.8%
Survivors: 11.2%
People w/Disabilities: 11%

It's very crucial in our messaging to ensure EVERYONE is seen.
