It’s possible for two things to be true, and I believe they are:

1. Many terrible things have happened and will continue to, bc a razor-thin majority of voters chose an authoritarian racist.

2. The hoped-for authoritarian consolidation will almost surely fail, even if scars will be long-lasting.

Still can salvage standing in the east/be formidable in playoffs too. If they do trade him ultimately, makes sense to do it in offseason when more teams are desperate/bidding after they don’t win a ship. I see no good reason to trade a franchise centerpiece currently. Not stubborn, it’s logical.
