I still can’t believe Brendan Gill not only avoided any real fallout from this, but is now running and hiding behind a list of “50 prominent women.” And his base is still cheering. What exactly would count as disqualifying at this point?

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Good.
This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

I don’t post on here a lot but I can’t tell you how relieved I am. As a public employee, as a mom who vaccinates her young kids, and as someone who deeply cares about the people of this state and their rights, I am so happy with this result.
New Jersey, it is the honor of my life to earn your trust to become this great state’s 57th Governor.

I promise to listen, lead with courage, and never forget who I serve.

RFK Jr. backs down all the time when he gets push back, so if anyone wants to call, here's the HHS number 1-877-696-6775.
I'd also call your senators/reps as well.

hi, cis folks!

the senate budget bill is out & this version still contains a prohibition against lifesaving trans healthcare for medicaid/CHIP—that's 275,000 people!

if you're willing to stand with trans folks, please call your senators—no matter who. follow the thread for context & scripts.🧵
