History repeating itself?

UKIP under Nigel Farage controlled Thanet Council and nearly bankrupt it.

Reform UK under Nigel Farage controls Worcestershire Council and it’s on the verge of bankruptcy.

Never trust Reform UK. Imagine a country run by them. We'd be bankrupt with Trussite policies.

@kirithentwistle.bsky.social Sorry for another post. At election Starmer promised an end to sleaze. He promised to put country before party & party before self. As a constituent & Labour voter I feel betrayed. He should go or we'll end up with Farage at the next election. I view this with horror.

@kirithentwistle.bsky.social Horrified by scenes in parliament today. It's clear that our PM has been damaged by his ties to Mandelson's morass of abuse, corruption, lies & treason. At the very least to avoid destruction of the Labour party McSweeney should go. I would argue that Starmer should go

As if BBC News did not have enough problems in its dealings with Trump as it attempts to have the president’s defamation lawsuit thrown out, now comes a fresh challenge in the form of the corporation’s official “US news partner” suddenly taking a sharp turn in the administration’s direction.

@kirithentwistle.bsky.social this last few days have been a roller coaster for your constituents in our house. First we find that Andy Burnham is wanting to stand as an MP, then we find he's been blocked. First horror, then relief for us. A reform mayor would be a nightmare. We need Andy here!

This is our parody of "Piece of My Heart" by the amazing soulful Erma Franklin. Our version addresses the situation unfolding with #Trump and #Greenland, & has rude words - it's called "Piece of Denmark". In solidarity with all fellow Europeans facing tariffs and trauma. #25th

Court convicts two donors for illegally diverting £100k to Eurosceptic think tank run by Nigel Farage's girlfriend. She definitely doesn't sound like the sort of person who would get involved with tax fraud on a house purchase.

I can see why Reform would oppose measures to prevent money laundering. Maybe banks should check money going *into* bank accounts - particularly when it's Russian money going into Reform politicians' bank accounts...

Do we have a precedent for a this ? A national broadcaster ignoring possible treason , isn’t that in itself sort of treasonous 🥴 ?
Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.

🚨 Kazakh billionaire Hourieh Peramaa, not proven a UK citizen, linked to a £100k Reform UK donation via her London mansion’s firm. If true, that’s illegal foreign cash. Reform’s “anti-elite” shtick? Looks like dirty money politics.
