Trumpian nonsense. The hospitality benefits will be cancelled out by the boosted off license hours. Pubs won’t be opening later anyway due to not being able to afford energy costs and staff.

I like the idea, I like the sentiment, if I was a migrant I’d feel happy seeing an anti racism flag sticker (if they read the text), however it’s a well trodden path the left has lost over and over again. The path to victory is to defeat the far right, and THEN repurpose the flag for all.

When I see those flags I don’t see togetherness, I see division, I feel division. When a symbol is used for fear and intimidation you don’t then use that symbol, what are you crazy??? I see politicos who think they have big brains trying this Hannibal Barca/judo throw, and it will not work.

You’re fighting on Reform/nationalist ground. Why? It’s insane. When you fight politics on the turf of the right wing the Overton window moves right. It’s why our politics has shifted rightward, it’s why Labour are now a nationalist, nasty Tory party.

If you fight on patriotism you will lose.
