Recently been thinking about how limited the collective transfer of memories between generations is and how incomplete and biased history is. Found this which seems cool: www.mellon.org/article/the-...
The Monuments Project
Launched in 2020, the Monuments Project supports projects that promote a fuller telling of the American story in public commemorative spaces.

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

Yes, “disaster” is the correct word – this is a public health catastrophe. The pressure for him to resign should begin tonight, and continue until it happens. Nothing else should be in front of this. Go to a 19th century cemetery anywhere in this country to know why.
RFK Jr.‘s extreme anti-vax views — and his related conflicts of interest — were a huge problem during his confirmation process.

So he promised not to change the vaccine advisory panel.

Today, he fired every single expert on that panel. It's a public health disaster.

in fairness to the market no one could have guessed that a nearly 80 year-old ex-President with a messianic self-certainty and the hyperfixation of a toddler would enact a policy he spent each and every day of a two-year campaign promising to enact!
CNBC reacts right after Trump's "Liberation Day" tariff announcement: "And the market reaction after hours -- I’ve never seen anything like it. This -- I think, fair to say -- is worse than the worst-case scenario of the tariffs that many in the market expected the president to impose."

Shutting down a bunch of federal agencies only makes sense if the plan is to retain power indefinitely. I’d like to see reporters ask prominent Republicans if they think Democrats will just rebuild these agencies in four years. I believe some of the answers would be revealing.

Something I haven't seen covered extensively with regards to the Department of Education is the fact that the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) funds early intervention services, along with Medicaid. EI is usually free, or very low cost for families.

Democratic Senators who vote for the Trump-Musk budget are directly acting against the wishes of a union which represents more than 800,000 federal workers.
The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 800,000+ federal and D.C. workers (i.e. people directly impacted by a government shutdown), is urging senators to vote no on the House GOP's CR.

In other words, AFGE is saying a government shutdown is less bad than this GOP bill.
