Exuberant love for all things literary. I have a deep love for fiction- WIT (esp. French and Italian works) modern classics, historical mysteries, works from between the wars, and contemporary book prize lists.

I’ve carved out some time this chilly morning to lounge & just read this weekend. The Colegate is for the Author Spotlight Series I host, Mater 2-10 for book club, Tokyo Express is to hold onto some joy after returning from our 1st trip. And the Gabbart because reading about literature is joyous.

You can also go into your past orders and find the option. It’s a great mindless exercise to do while watching TV, on a boring conference call, while waiting in line…😉
Hey folks-- if you've got Prime use the hell out of this. Tip all you can for every single delivery you get. It's your chance to take from Amazon and give to Amazon drivers.
Hey folks—if you type “thank my driver” in the search bar on Amazon, and click the “Thank my driver” bar that pops up after you search, they are tipping the driver of your recent order $5.

I’m shocked, but it works.
Please tip delivery workers, especially at this time of year.

All public libraries should stay open until midnight. Only a monster would think that nobody needs more books after 5 PM on a Friday.

This is brilliant—in response to the Frankfurt Book Fair's contemptible erasure of Adania Shibli's brilliant MINOR DETAIL, her publisher Fitzcarraldo Editions has made the ebook free to download for the duration of the Book Fair, on Amazon UK, Apple Books, and Kobo.
Minor Detail ebook by Adania Shibli - Rakuten Kobo
Read "Minor Detail" by Adania Shibli available from Rakuten Kobo. Minor Detail begins during the summer of 1949, one year after the war that the Palestinians mourn as the Nakba – the cat...

I have always been fascinated by facts about lottery winners. More than 70% lose all the money within a few years. In the words of Biggie “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems”.

Though I also have a plan on what I would do if I won. Of course I don’t play so that lowers my odds.

I’m curious what you would do?
The winning ticket for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, worth an estimated $1.73 billion, was sold in California. It is the second-largest American lottery jackpot ever.

This is the second 10-digit Powerball jackpot win in four months. The last was in July.

Ok- I have officially deleted the Tw**ter account. In coming here, I want to hopefully engage more, meet more bookish people and be less lurky than I was on the platform that shall not be named.

So hi!
