Passionate about Democracy. Worried about Climate Change.
Clearly these individuals are not interested in providing legal services but gaming the system, and paralyzing it on the way. They deserve no licences. They defrauded dozens and require criminal charges. Nothing else will deter them. Or others like them.

Do people miss Pelosi yet?
Pelosi: “Right now, the Republicans in the Congress have abolished the Congress — They just do what the president insists that they do. That will be over — That ends as soon as we have the gavel”

The quote makes me wonder who would be the progressive challenger to Jeffries for Speaker

Solar will account for 50% of all electricity generated by 2036. Or sooner if past is any indicator.
Solar is the fastest-growing source of electricity in history

It will become over 50% of all the electricity on Earth by 2036, with the battery supply chain future-proofing the solar takeover

Another one of my charts of the year

This is intrigued me ever since I joined Blue Sky. Why does @bsky.app displays the complete string of a Blue Sky handle, and not the actual name of person/account when tagged? It makes reading awkward as handle strings are no obvious. Save space and make reading more fun. #BlueSky

When Ggogle is buying clean power generator, others will follow. No way other than solar, wind, geothermal, storage, etc to meet AI demand and its pace.
"The acquisition, announced Monday, is intended to give Alphabet’s Google access to more electricity for its data centers as aging US grids struggle to meet power demand that’s booming for the first time in decades thanks in part to artificial intelligence."

Kavanaugh tries to put the "Kavanaugh Stops" genie back in the bottle
Kavanaugh goes out of his way to pen a footnote not having to deal with the case at hand.

He appears to be trying to narrow the forces he unleashed with his prior opinion allowing for race- and ethnicity-based #KavanaughStops

American jurists are quite unique as to be dissociated from reality so extremely.
Brett Kavanaugh (September 2025): The facts and how they relate to the law don’t matter. Assume ICE and other federal forces always act with integrity, always respect rights, and consistently impose minimal burden.

Brett Kavanaugh (December 2025): Should I not have done that? Was that wrong?
Kavanaugh in a footnote in today's opinion says "the officers must not make interior immigration stops or arrests based on race or ethnicity."

Now every year new renewable generation capacity is a few percent of *total primary* energy consumption, and a unit of electricity can displace 2-4 units of primary thermal energy. It's a tangled race between energy demand growth on one side, and electrification + deployment on the other.

The BNEF PV new build estimate for 2025 is now just 655GW(DC) after downward revisions for the China market, with a small decline expected in 2026 as China, Brazil, Europe contract.

There is just a lot of solar in the major markets now, and negative feedback is kicking in.
800 GW would be more than 100 GW above what BNEF projected not so long ago! 😲 @solarchase.bsky.social can you corroborate? bsky.app/profile/sola...
42. Annual build volumes of solar are rising, but they are not guaranteed to rise forever. This is a symptom of solar starting to actually make a dent in power demand, with negative feedback effects such as power price cannibalization.
