This is another brilliant thing. Action on out of area taxi licensing. An absolute blight given Wolverhampton license most of the country. And a contributor to group CSE.

Today in Parliament, the Government formally introduced the Bill to remove the two-child limit in Universal Credit.

📍 It's a significant moment for campaigners and millions of families affected by this cruel policy.

I’m entering The Teenager as potential winner of #Duvetknowitschristmas

He’s had to move from his bedroom to the unconverted attic

Cardboard floor & headboard is a nice touch which I’m sure he appreciates

He think it looks like he’s living in a meth den

Tomorrow evening it’ll be my annual duty to vaguely shepherd the activity on the #duvetknowitschristmas hashtag and urge people to give small sums to charity. 7.30pm? Something like that?

The White House has been caught.

The administration inserted a photo of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross into the Epstein files and falsely implied it showed them with victims.

In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.

I started The 500 Club in July.

The idea is that with small regular donations we can get £500 of books into loads of different schools.

People joined in & the 1st £500 of books went out to Harlands Primary in September.

We've just hit the next £500!

I asked this question because I think whether the government acts to mitigate this possibility is key to whether it can pass this policy
Asked if Keir Starmer believes British people want to "see refugee children pulled out of school and deported after 10 years in this country”, his spokesman says that “what the British public wants and what this government was elected on a mandate to deliver was to secure our borders"

I never had Labour pegged for this level of cruelty. Remember, we're talking about people who are forbidden from working here, often for years at a time, so they have nothing.

Labour deserve to be swept from office like a snowplough clearing a blizzard of hatred.

Starmer’s anti-asylum policies show how utterly clueless he is about the right-wing media’s role in politics.

He’s trying to fix a “problem” contrived by Farage, GB News and The Telegraph. He’ll never win, because ultimately he’s fighting a ghost – he’s fighting something that doesn’t really exist

I agree in principle BUT the only problem is that - apparently- the current Home Office Minister, Mahmoud, was given the brief with an instruction to”think the unthinkable” which, presumably came from the PM/Cabinet office.
Immigration policy needs to be taken away from the home office. They’ve failed to balance economic effects, humanitarian obligations and border control.

It is so cross cutting it should probably go to the Cabinet office . The HO can then focus on the borders bit while the policy is done elsewhere
Unsurprising Labour Govt has gone down rabbit hole of talking as if asylum-seeking can be ended.

They listen to immigration officials, in a fantasy island isolated even from other civil servants.

When Diane Abbott was Shadow Home Sec, she made no attempt to create an alternative policy. But…

Cat Eccles and Stella Creasy have also condemned the plans. This much public opposition this quickly indicates they'd struggle to get a Bill through.

A strong immigration system doesn't need to be a cruel one.

It shouldn't need saying - but refugees & asylum seekers are real people, fleeing war and persecution.

This daughter of an immigrant is proud of our British and Labour values of respect and not turning our backs on people in real need.
