I will always stand against hate, loudly, clearly, and without hesitation.
In these moments, when misinformation, vitriol, and dangerous divisiveness are being spread in the BC Legislature, I will not be silent.
I will continue to double down on love, on truth and on the belief that every single 1/2
BC's far-right party OneBC attempted to introduce Bill M-225, a flag ban, in the Legislature yesterday. The intention of the bill was to specifically ban Pride flags, transgender flags, and Palestine flags from being raised on provincial property.

It failed 15-73.

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, and today in the Legislature I had the honour of recognizing the incredible work of the Men’s Sheds in Lumby and Vernon.

Today, we remember women hurt or killed by cowardly violence and stand with survivors and their loved ones.

As the 16 Days of Activism begins, we recommit to preventing violence, strengthening supports, and doing the work so every woman in our province feels safe.

We remember the Holodomor as both a profound tragedy and a warning about where hatred and dehumanization can lead. Ukrainian families carried this truth across generations with courage. Today we honour their strength, uphold their memory, and recommit to defending human rights everywhere.

Reconciliation strengthens BC’s economy and our communities.

Unacceptable! X is fighting a BC order to remove a non-consensual intimate image, instead of doing the right thing & removing the image. These harmful images have no place online, anywhere, ever. Today, we shut down a Bill introduced by OneBC to recall Truth & Reconciliation Day - the words spoken were painful and rooted in denying the history of residential schools.

Enough is enough.

The only recall that needs to happen is a recall campaign of the OneBC MLAs.

BC is Burning: a real depiction of living with wildfire.

Murray Wilson made this film to raise our understanding. Wildfires are increasing, and we must learn as communities and as a province, the role we each have to play.

A key part of our #LookWest economic strategy is to diversify markets and create new opportunities.

We led the Canada-wide effort to break down trade barriers in Canada, making it easier for businesses to grow and thrive.

One agreement. One market. Unlimited opportunities.

Producers and ranchers understand the importance of water, and we are supporting them through the Agricultural Water Infrastructure Program. With nearly 700 successful projects, B.C. is better prepared for drought. The next round of funding is now open.

Today, B.C. signed the Canadian Mutual Recognition Agreement to free the flow of goods across Canada.

By breaking down #trade barriers and cutting red tape, we're creating new opportunities.

This is key to our #LookWest strategy. 🍁

Proud to say that we are continuing our work towards disability justice by removing the spousal cap for couples where both partners are on PWD. As of December 1st, couples will receive the same disability benefit as two single individuals. This change will benefit thousands of households across BC.
Barriers removed for couples in B.C. receiving disability assistance
Starting Dec. 1, 2025, couples where both members receive disability assistance will receive the same support allowance as they would if they were two single people.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed so we could live in peace and freedom.

Their courage reminds us that the cost of war is never forgotten — and that peace is always worth protecting.

Lest we forget.
