It is a disaster that the criminal president was handed unchecked power to redirect funds that were authorized by Congress for other purposes.

We have to retain our capacity to publicize and challenge this radical right-wing shift in how federal funds are allocated.

NEW: ICE's "roving patrols" in Los Angeles have led to unconstitutional arrests of people agents suspect — without probable cause — are in the country illegally, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Great to see some legal pushback against the invasion of California by ICE.
Federal judge blocks 'roving' immigration arrests amid Los Angeles crackdown
The order on Friday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from conducting the arrests without “reasonable suspicion” that its targets were in the country illegally.

Representative Clark is exactly right - we are a wealthy country led incapably by a president and Congress that will enrich themselves, even if SNAP and Medicaid are cut. It's immoral, and we all have work to do to stop the budget bill's passage.
Tonight, Rep. Katherine Clark got straight to the point on the Capitol steps: Republicans are breaking Medicaid so they can rob it.

It's hard to keep track of the human rights violations of this criminal administration. But departing migrants to locations that are not their country of origin is further shows contempt for the law and erodes due process further.

Impeachment now, or watch the republic degrade beyond recognition.

Some good news - for now, the injunction will stay in effect against adding a proof of citizenship requirement to voter forms.

The courts have made many reasonable calls against the authoritarians in the White House. Too bad about the inaction when the administration violates court orders!
NEW: Court filings reveal the Justice Department does not plan to appeal a lower court order blocking Trump from adding a proof of citizenship requirement on federal voter registration forms as litigation continues.

This bottom of the barrel presidency continues to nominate unqualified white supremacist ideologues to key positions. That's not surprising anymore, but it's slightly surprising that the GOP majority pretends to care about qualifications at this point, especially after the odious RFK confirmation.
No wonder the Senate is hesitating. Martin has fraternized with neo-Nazis, has no experience as a prosecutor, has failed to make required disclosures to the Senate & on & on. He is not fit. Don't just take my word for it, a leading conservative org has condemned him punchbowl.news/article/sena...

Why don't more people call out this president as racist?
