I’m urging Secretary Noem to restore the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grant, which was abruptly cancelled.

As we grieve the lives lost at Annunciation, we must commit to taking every possible step to catch violent individuals before they carry out such destruction.

Benchmark payrolls for March 2025 revised down 911k, worse than expected but inside the range of estimates.
Payrolls preliminary annual benchmark revision due out at 10a...

consensus is for a -682k downward revision (spread equally across the 12 months ended March 2025, with a subsequent impact on the birth/death model for April 2025-August 2025 that has not been estimated)

The preliminary benchmark revision of -911K amounts to -0.6% to March 2025 payroll employment. Combined with 2-month revisions, recent total revisions are big but hardly unprecedented, & smoothed over the business cycle the payroll survey has gotten more accurate over time.

Just to be clear, BLS is currently being run by a trustworthy career civil servant and BLS rank and file staff literally said yesterday that nothing is being messed with. Skepticism over this revision is entirely unjustified to the point of disinformation (though that may not be true for long).

Trump is really committed to the bit.

He said this creepy letter to Jeffrey Epstein didn’t exist and was invented by the WSJ.

Then a copy of the letter with Trump’s signature is produced by the Epstein estate.

Trump is sticking with his story.

The official Trump line is that this 50th birthday letter in Trump's name to Jeffrey Epstein — produced by EPSTEIN'S ESTATE to Congress, pursuant to a subpoena — isn't Trump's, despite the uncanny signature and typeface.

And that it's defamatory to suggest otherwise, to the tune of $20 billion.
