When the Globe and Mail editorial board is warning that the Venezuela invasion represents a threat to Canada you know how serious the menace is from the gangster fascist regime.

Denmark’s PM, Mette Frederiksen responds to Trump:

“The US has no right to annex any of the three nations in the Danish kingdom…I would therefore strongly urge the US to stop the threats against a historically close ally…and another people who have said very clearly that they are not for sale.”

We were a poor country of 11 million people. We built the 4th largest air force and navy in the world.
When the Brits were being evacuated at Dunkirk we were already defending her shores.

"This is the age of gangsters. And Canada must be ready to rise to the threat."

@mark-carney.bsky.social must act decisively and quickly to protect not just Canadian interests, but Canada itself.
Canada needs to take see the invasion of Venezuela for what it is - a deliberate attack on the international rules based order. We have a bandit nation on our border and we need to be ready for whatever comes next.

Venezuela - The Lesson for Canada
Make no mistake, the attack on Venezuela by the Trump regime is not about removing a rogue leader; it is a deliberate attack on international law.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

We will be back.

And we will continue the oversight work until we hold Noem, Homan, Bovino, and DHS accountable.

This story would’ve never come out w/o the research, interviews, writing, photography, editing and hard work of trained, experienced journalists. It’s a heartbreaking piece that deserves a read. Subscribe to your local news org and support their work.
In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.

One of the most important and infuriating stories I read this year:
When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance
In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

We’ve had enough of this two-tiered justice system where the ultrarich never face consequences. Tell your GOP Members of Congress that constituents aren’t letting them off the hook — Republicans backed the Epstein Transparency Act and now they need to ensure the law is upheld.
The Epstein cover-up continues. Let's keep up the pressure on Republicans until ALL the files are released.
Trump, his GOP enablers, and the Pam Bondi-led DOJ still think that – if they stall long enough – voters will forget about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and the role Donald Trump, and some Republican megad...

A Liberal in rural Alberta or a Conservative in downtown Toronto can vote for decades without ever electing a candidate they support.

A system that locks regions to one party is not democracy.

Proportional representation ensures every vote counts, no matter where you live.
