This is is the other part of the story, which is that the information environment is absolutely as bad as I’ve ever seen it.
In a sense but it was a lot of hate for things that weren’t true but were believed!

On that note, what’s a girl gotta do to get a Chicago handshake with JB Pritzker? I mean, I don’t want to distract him from the important work he’s doing protecting his state from dangerous aspects of Project 2025, but he’s gotta take a break some time right?

so far the only explanation i've seen that doesn't smack of "if only she'd listen to me she would have won" is "global discontent with incumbents because of inflation and post-pandemic malaise + toxic information environments"

I have particularly fond memories of Arthur and Liberty’s Kids

One thing that still inspires me about Ursula K. Le Guin is how much she could channel her rage into something powerful and profound without letting it take control of her.

Hi Blue Sky! 👋 I’m Heather. I like to read books and cross stitch and make cocktails and dance. I’m also sad and angry and scared and a little overwhelmed on this not very fine Wednesday.
