The thing I hate about the "AI is democratizing art" argument is that art has always been democratized. That's what ""bad"" art is. You think I would *choose* to draw like this? No, my body cannot extend all the way to grasp the divine. And so we get to see the roadmaps we take that get us elsewhere

The biggest superpower in a autocracy are saying the words "no, I won't comply."
We outnumber them. Autocrats require constant effort to maintain control. Forcing them to expend effort to enforce compliance is our asymmetrical advantage.

an added bonus that I just discovered, it is legal to call them and say your piece in a funny voice. I think you should, in fact, cuz it'll make you more memorable. that intern will remember "oh yeah we got a call from a guy who sounds like yogi bear who cares a lot about trans rights"

I know we all have phone anxiety, but the good thing is that your reps, even the shitty ones, have to be nice to you when you call them up. But you are allowed to yell at them!
And, importantly: contact your reps ESPECIALLY if you think they're worthless transphobic bigots. Don't make it easy for them. Don't let them believe nobody gives a fuck.
This is just the beginning. Cis people, contact your reps. Do not fucking reply to my trans ass right now to tell me why you can't or won't do this one goddamned thing for trans people, just contact your Representative.
