Again, I ask, where is Zuck's wife — the pediatrician — in all this? How can she live with herself?
The broligarchs have more money and power than any class in human history—and they don’t give a fuck about you. The LEAST we can do is tax the shit out of them. The least.
Meta was aware that millions of adult strangers were contacting minors on its sites; that its products exacerbated mental health issues in teens; and that content related to eating disorders, suicide, and child sexual abuse was frequently detected, yet rarely removed.

Wonder what Cheryl Hines is up to today.

Going to be an interesting Thanksgiving at Bobby and Cheryl's this year.

"The fact that many men believe they no longer even have to pretend to respect women in order to participate in public life makes it unlikely that anything will change anytime soon. The fish rots from the head. The pig is in the Oval Office."

Yep.
Some believed his idea, that women should be fetishized, sexualized, domesticized, not respected.. something people had to hide. What’s changed: trump emboldened others not pretend to respect women. The fish rots from the head. The pig is in the Oval Office. www.theatlantic.com/culture/2025...

Thanks so much to @ruthdeyermond.bsky.social for this excellent — and quite fascinating — thread on that "peace proposal" 47 is pushing.

Not unexpectedly, it's a total crock.
Some notable things in what's being called the "Trump peace plan" but which could not have been more clearly written in Moscow if it came with a 2 for 1 deal on tickets to the Bolshoi Ballet. 🧵

/11 Trump is what he is: an increasingly demented jumble of personality disorders prone to barking out whatever angry stupid thing pops into his head. And he’s the “leader of the free world.”

But many politicians who took an oath to uphold the Constitution will echo his lawless dreck.

What a sniveling little coward Mike Johnson is.

Just pathetic.

This is a very good explainer on the administration's decision to remove "Nursing" as a profession under the Department of Education.

(The administration is removing several other professions as well)
One week. It would take one week to reverse this. Nurses and PAs - one sick out week. Show this regime just how valuable you are and that will reverse this destructive decision

Quite the contrast there between the bipartisan decorum of Cheney's funeral while the current president is issuing death threats toward his supposed "enemies" in Congress.

Saw a report on CNN that there's a new flu variant out there — which also reported that 2 million Americans have gotten vaccinated for flu this year vs. last.

Why, whatever could the cause for that be?
On scientific topics, especially in public health, federal government webpages have been a trusted way for the public to find reliable information.

A CDC webpage with disinformation is dangerous in the short term and erodes public trust in science in the long term.

The president is proposing that we take the 1 trillion gallons of water that fire departments use every year and give each American a 5-gallon bucket to fight house fires on their own terms. That makes them an informed consumer.

Absolutely ludicrous given the state of our president's health.
If I were sick, I would simply choose to be healthy. Bing bang boom bsky.app/profile/atru...
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

I thought the Constitution is integral — yet here we are.
Fox News's Martha MacCallum makes a case for following illegal orders: "If you are in the US military, you sign up, you carry out the mission that is assigned to you. The other option is to not join the military or to leave if you feel you can't carry out an order. But the command is integral."

one thing i think is true is that republicans assumed that democrats would not respond in kind and that the forceful pushback spooked them (a lesson to learn here, perhaps)

*Court strikes down Texas GOP gerrymander
*Indiana GOP lacks votes to redraw map
*Big Dem win in Virginia could give Ds more seats
