David Davis said there wouldn't be a single downside to Brexit.

Yorkshire Bylines recorded >2,000 of them from 2021-4.
The Davis Downside Dossier
David Davis famously said there would be no downsides to Brexit only considerable upsides - so we started recording them.

Somehow this got missed off the "Benefit Street" front pages today
70% of the additional spending from removing the two-child limit will go to families who are in work. This is targeting support for low-income working households who are being priced out of a decent standard of living despite doing everything asked of them.

Well, it's official. After our paper last year (onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....), the Slender-billed Curlew is officially declared Extinct today.

Should be required reading for the unsympathetic, sanctimonious councillors bereft of empathy at Hampshire County Council (and, I’m sure, elsewhere) who blithely handwave away concerns about flags and argue that most people don’t see them as political and that they’re about togetherness actually.

⚠️ Women in the UK don’t need to be told what danger looks like — we live it every day.

⛔ One woman is killed by a man every three days in this country (Femicide Census, 2023)

⛔ In 2023, 1.7 million women experienced domestic abuse (ONS, 2023).

It is not trans people who perpetrate these crimes.
