With Hockey RPF the fanfic was for the romance and the sex, the things canon didn't provide. But in Heated Rivalry canon does provide. So logic dictates that the fanfic is there to make them actually play hockey.

my favorite thing about a dual POV enemies-to-lovers is when they each have baggage that the other person is perfectly suited to understand and have empathy for and maybe help them through it but they’re too proud to reveal it so they and the reader just SUFFER waiting for the reveal 🥰🥰🥰

You have to have changed your main fandom platform at least four times AND you must have at least three fandom-related subjects that cause an overwhelming wave of exhaustion to hit you whenever people start arguing over them
what constitutes a fandom-elder and when do you hit that milestone? is it by age? or through years of service? or is it something indefinable and ungraspable?

also this morning I woke up with some bit of a pop song I couldn't remember the lyrics for so I hummed it into my phone and laughed when it turned out to be the escalating part of "Golden"
