I will remind people AGAIN that we don't need a referendum to join SM BECAUSE WE DIDNT VOTE TO LEAVE IT

We do, however need a government with balls and a less traitorous press

The #UK should pass urgent legislation to grant full UK citizenship to US scientists, engineers, medical professionals etc who want to leave #Trump’s America for a new life. There is going to be a #braindrain as US democracy is dismantled, and we should take advantage of it

Who really made the #Brexit decision? The 2016 referendum was advisory, and the Supreme Court ruled that only Parliament could decide. Yet, MPs never voted on whether the UK should leave the #EU. My full investigation at tinyurl.com/m2pwus92 and summaries on all my social media today. Share!

🚑 Time to recognise paramedics as an official emergency service.

Paramedics face immense stress yet lack official emergency service recognition. It’s time for fair rights, benefits and retirement protections.

People worried Assisted Dying would be a slippery slope. I kinda hope it is, cos I'd love to be able to write a living will that allowed me to be medically "offed" if I end up with dementia. It's not how I'd want to be, or my family have to care for me like that.

My decision, yours might differ.

Imagine sitting down for a drink or a meal with people whose company you enjoyed & being told by management that half of the table would be now occupied by people who just wanted to shout ‘C**t’ at you. The exodus has absolutely nothing to do with ‘opinions’. Media reports must reflect this more.

New working paper out today.

There is mounting evidence that air pollution is bad for our health. Turns out it’s bad for our pets too.

Using data on seven million vet visits over a five-year period we find that higher particulate pollution leads to increased vet visits for cats and dogs.

I moved from the UK. Here loads of people leave their dogs tied up outside shops. The horrible stories of pet thefts in the UK have stuck with me so, when I see one, I have to hang around nearby until the owner returns. I have missed several buses and trains because of this.
