The first step to undermining control of an autocratic movement is to emphasize virtues in media and capture the attention of the youth. Creatives that glorify vice normalize it. Think about how many characters you see or read that dig their heels in on their positions and don't compromise for ex.
Tokenization and forced Crypto/blockchain backing for currency is coming this year. Total surveillance on currency transactions...if it works. It also may have the effect of collapsing the world economies as the demand for this infrastructure exceeds the supply.

Christmas was dying because it used to be one time a year when people really made sacrifices to get others what they wanted, instead of necessities. (Sometimes that overlapped) when you have a culture of consumerism where you buy what you want daily, that specialness goes away.

Aside from a previous post about privatization of the military, turning it from a people and state owned force, to oligarch's mercenaries, the state is the only one able to continuously afford standing armies, so oligarchs will be left with few choices. All of which plant the seeds for their demise

One of the things that will likely happen next year is the passage of the SAVE act to solidify autocracy. Locate documents now, replace missing or damaged ones. Keep copies ready to present. Confirm and update voter registration.

Factionalism as a control method for the state fails when there are outside pressures that cause people to set aside those differences. It does require restructuring and agreement on goals, but you don't want to be that goal. Think, Independence Day, or Ender's Game.
