This. You can honor Renee Good without co-opting a phrase developed specifically to highlight police brutality against Black women, who are more susceptible to state violence and more overlooked than white women.

If you wouldn’t say All Lives Matter, don’t say this. It’s equivalent.
Say Her Name is not for white women.

What happened to Good is horrific. But also please look at the way that both the media and white people in general have reacted to her murder vs. the way the general public reacts to the state murdering Black and brown ppl. There is a difference, and we have to face that

While I’m at it: “rest in power” is for Black ppl. Please don’t use that for white ppl either. There are some spaces and phrases that are not for white ppl, and if we have respect for Black ppl, we honor that

ELEMENTARY was, hands-down, a far more interesting and innovative modern adaptation of Sherlock Holmes than SHERLOCK was, and had vastly superior takes on Watson, Irene Adler, and Moriarty. Miller "got" Holmes as a character in a way a lot of people don't.
After much consideration I have made the formal decision to rewatch the American procedural drama Elementary from the start. There will, of course, be times when I am compelled to compare it to the significantly inferior Sherlock but I will try and keep those outbursts to a minimum.

(and yes, I do think Strathairn is the best American actor of his generation)
