Went to a county board meeting tonight and found it heartening to see democracy still working at the local level. If you’re able to get involved in your city or county, you can have a big impact there.

By the way it's still Gulf of Mexico on Wikipedia since the policy is to use recognizable names over "official" names (same reason there's no "William Jefferson Clinton" article). Gulf of America isn't even mentioned as an alt name! There was a ~25k word debate about it last week though of course

I’ve been having a rough time lately, but tonight I went to a Women in Aviation meetup. It felt so energizing to be around a diverse group of women (and men) committed to lifting up women and advancing our presence in the field. Community is everything!
