This is a great book and if you should read it.

I donated some copies of Let This Radicalize You for distribution at an ICE watch training for folks who want to join school patrols in a nearby neighborhood. Not everyone got a copy, because 120 people showed up for that training tonight. I am endlessly proud of Chicago.
A display of copies of Let This Radicalize You on a table in front of a sign that reads: "Let This Radicalize You offers stories, strategy and heart for the kind of collective care and resistance we're building together today. It helps us move from reacting to organizing. Showing how ordinary people protect each other, build power, and keep hope alive. Take a copy. Read it. Stay connected."

Reporting live from Chicago, there’s no “hellscape” I’d rather be in.

Love how this latest bit of hogwash also feeds into the continued under-diagnosis of autism in females. Just dandy.

RFK JR: There are many other confirmations -- there are two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism. It’s highly likely because they are given Tylenol

Spanberger: my opponent has previously said that she does not think that gay couples should be allowed to marry

- 1,700 residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre will be released.
- 22 minors under the age of 18, residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre, will be released.

I can only assume that the Phillies have a grooming rule that is the inverse of the Yankees, requiring players to grow as much hair on their face and head as they possibly can.

Easily as many members of the media as protesters, if not more.

Disabled people are not the enemy

Immigrants are not the enemy

LGBTQ+ people are not the enemy

Minorities & people of colour are not the enemy

These division tactics only work because there’s one group who needs to feel superior to the rest of us

They will “other” anyone to advance their agenda

I don’t exactly how to phrase this, but like… is autism that bad???? Like, why is it such a source of fear??? Of course there are challenges but you can be autistic and have a rich, fulfilling life! Many people do! I don’t understand the preoccupation.

“It’s not only just a brown struggle, it’s a Black struggle. And if we think that it’s not going to impact us, where do you think they’re going to send the National Guard? They’re going to send it to the African American community” ~Pastor Phelps, Concord MB Church, Woodlawn

Perry: "I agree with you about the seriousness of threats, generally, across the United States right now. I don't think there's a single public servant, really, who is not being subject to threats.

Big emphasis on the word “claim” there.

Nice to see that the judge is on the “keep it ridiculous” train.

Perry cites the claims of "slashed tires" and "keyed cars."

"Some of this frankly sounds like a Carrie Underwood song."

The government’s stated position in court is that if the Feds start a fight with citizens, they can use that to justify sending in troops.
jonseidel.bsky.social
Perry asks again whether, if the inability to execute the law is b/c of the feds' "own provocation, does that matter under the law?"

Hamilton: "No, if that were true, the fact still remains that we are seeing sustained violence against federal personnel and property in Illinois."
historyofjess.com
Love that the judge asked this.
jonseidel.bsky.social
Perry asks directly whether the feds started the alleged violence in Chicago.

She asks whether it matters if the inability to execute the law was "caused by the federal agents."

Hamilton: "No, your honor."

A rebellion against what? A rebellion against WHAT?!?
heathercherone.bsky.social
Perry: DOJ's definition of rebellion would mean that
"literally all nonviolent protest” could be considered evidence of rebellion. Is that your argument?
Hamilton: The president has determined there is a danger of a rebellion, and you must defer to that finding
