Check your local library, they might have more than you think! Many (most?) public libraries are genuinely trying to keep up with the media people are drawn to these days.
Went to my local library for the first time and I saw they offered video games you can check out.
Trails in the sky and FF Tactics were not my expected finds. These are just the new ones. Apparently they have a whole catalog.

The decline of third spaces and hangouts, such as malls, video rental places, arcades & skate parks has been a direct result of the rise of convenience and has also been objectively bad for society as a whole. Its not that everyone HAS to socialize, but having no option to without bars is a failing.
