I think out of all my MCs, Emmi from #WOTC is the heartbreaker. She's spunky and fiery, and also really, really pretty. She knows how to flirt when she needs to, which absolutely gets a murderous vampire what he deserves.

In both #Cursed & #WOTV, most magic is done w/ the help of physical components and/or linguistic components. Super simple spells can be case w/ words, gestures, and intent only. Nix uses an anti-tracking spell to get the werewolf off their tail early on that is like this. More complex spells [1/2]

Funny you should ask, either Liam (S&S) nor Tristan (Cursed) actually like to fight.
Liam talks people down from their crisis moments, which has made him stand out. He doesn't like to use his gun, though he's an expert marksman. He made it "off the streets" as a beat cop w/o firing a shot. [1/2]

I'd like to finish a #Shield&Scalpel brush up this week. Beta feedback is in, and I've started work on it. There's not much structural work to be done, just refining some areas. Hopefully I can get that done throughout this week. That's the main goal.

Love. The desire for connection, for someone to care, for someone to want you for who you are. It doesn't have to be romantic or sexual. It shows up between Tine & Monica, between Liam & Sanal, between Emmi & her squad, etc. People caring deeply about each other is a big Theme.

Writing a book isn't about competition, it isn't about winning or getting rich, it's about sitting down with your fucked-up thoughts and weird ideas and putting them on paper to traumatize people who read them. AI will never get that part right.
