another urgent mutual aid request for Minneapolis:

a friend with two undocumented parents, one with cancer (who just lost his insurance due to MNcare dropping undocumented folks), is struggling to help his family as the only one who can work.

let’s raise $2,000 for him today.

I'm sorry, but I just think it's very telling when we differentiate between ICE's killing of American citizens versus undocumented immigrants. And I'm seeing that a lot right now.

Muting today's threads because believe it or not, it's actually quite exhausting and hurtful to have to argue that undocumented immigrants' lives are also valuable and meaningful and that their killings by federal immigration agents should also serve as "flashpoints" in the U.S.

As a reporter, I see the process of dehumanization regularly. I see how government agencies, law enforcement, elected officials, and media twist beautiful parts of people to build a public narrative that excuses their unjust treatment, or justifies their murder. But it’s still very painful to watch.

NEW: Colorado will pay $5.4M to Becket Fund and $700k to Alliance Defending Freedom to settle challenges to the state's ban on abortion pill "reversal."

This the latest backfire in blue state attempts to regulate the unproven procedure, as @susanrinkunas.com and I reported with @motherjones.com:
Abortion Pill “Reversal” Is a Hoax. It's Also a Powerful Right-Wing Legal Strategy.
Speakers at a crisis pregnancy center conference made rare admissions about the challenges of providing so-called abortion “reversal,” and indicated its importance as a litigation tool.

Now, a press conference reveals that NO such symbols were found.
