Our National Parks are at risk. ⚠️

From the rugged Lakes to the sweeping South Downs, these landscapes define us and our future. They sustain wildlife, communities and our wellbeing - and they must be protected.

A future that puts them at risk isn't what anyone voted for.
A scenic view of a National Park landscape with a winding stone path leading through green hills and valleys under soft sunlight. In the centre of the image, bold black text on a red-and-black hazard-striped background reads: “DON’T WEAKEN NATIONAL PARK PROTECTIONS.” Below it, in white text, is the hashtag “#NationalParksMatter.”

Excellent letter from the Bishop of Birmingham to Robert Jenrick.

At a time when so many other voices have been silent, the bishops have been admirably outspoken against attempts to stir up division.

The churches do a lot of community cohesion work & do not want to see this trashed for party gain.

Hadn't realised lots of trusts were no longer prescribing gluten-free food for coeliac kids.

My son is coeliac and his food is so much more expensive. We don't get on prescription because we can afford it but for a family in poverty that's a massive issue.

Here's my best practice guidance:

- are minoritised groups overrepresented?
- are kids shunted in to avoid accountability?
- is the curriculum the same?
- are leaders held to account for high expectations?
- is it staffed by the best trained and paid person?

#70DaysofPhD A few days ahead of thinking, planning, memoing as I review my data analysis to date. It's a very busy day today (busy week actually) so not a lot of time, but always remember 'thinking is working'! Snatching an hour here & there when I can. #PhDSky #EdD

The Redwing steals the show in today’s #AutumnArrivalSpotlight! 🍂

Their rusty red flanks and soft ‘seep seep’ calls are a sure sign of autumn as flocks sweep in overnight from icy Scandinavia, Iceland and Russia.

Spot them enjoying berries in our fields and hedgerows.

Scrapping the Climate Change Act would be a reckless and indefensible move, undermining the UK’s green economy and damaging our global credibility at a time of escalating climate risks.
