Unfortunately, the Fifth Circuit ruling virtually guarantees this issue goes to SCOTUS on cert. And, when it does, I think there's little doubt about how the partisan Republican Six will come down. They're not particularly concerned with statutory text when it clashes with preferred ideology.

this case is maybe the single best example of one of the most destructive tendencies of this court: the tendency to treat their job as a collegiate legal seminar where they operate in hypotheticals rather than deal with the real world as it exists

I think that’s the right move. Bezos seems desperate to cripple the Post for whatever reason.

Obviously, I don’t know if the layoffs were Bezos or Lewis’ idea, but either way, Bezos should sell the paper to someone who will give a shit about it.

It’s amazing/infuriating to me that GOP will pass a raft of laws based on “protecting children” e.g., banning books, drag shows, and access to social media. Yet, it’s considered “moral panic” to shame people for engaging w/ a person who is known to have sexually assaulted and trafficked children.
