You know a great way to drive up energy costs?

Have the government block energy projects that have already been under construction for years, forcing companies to take billion dollar losses while delivering no energy at all.

Breaking news: Trump is citing “national security” to halt all active work on offshore wind projects

Five giant energy projects, countless jobs at risk

My story explains how the argument has legal weaknesses and comes from an anti-wind policy doc I reported in January

The administration has already lost once in court wielding the same argument against Revolution Wind.

I am here for this sitting Congressman eviscerating a truly annoying pundit.
This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

Born in an America that enjoyed immense benefits owed to alliances stemming from the Marquis de Lafayette through the Marshall Plan, I now wonder what future could ever reconstruct a bipartisan belief in common economic good of spending 3% of GDP on foreign aid.

This is a good endorsement list which I'm proud to join as a former legislator.

I have confidence in Hannah's values and her proven record of policy accomplishments for the state. Maine will greatly benefit from her experience and leadership. Good things ahead on this course.

I’m honored to have the support of more than 100 current and former Maine legislators and elected officials from all across the State. I couldn’t be more proud to have their support in this Governor’s race as we continue to build momentum to win this important campaign.

It's not complicated. There's a straight line between these two events with a common purpose of converting increased American consumers' energy costs into profits for politically-connected fossil fuel companies.

This action will directly raise the cost of electricity, & increase pollution. As I said on Open Circuit, US public lands belong to all of us. They’re ours. HUGE: The Trump administration will no longer permit any solar or wind projects on federal lands unless they produce more energy-per-acre than coal, gas or nuclear power plants.

Solar and wind literally produce less energy per acre, so simply this may just kill off any project on federal lands.
