One of the best things is that Mamdani can't go further than say governor. Running the Presidential pipeline is not in his view and it shows. He's more willing to brash and honest, versus someone like Pete B. who is gunning for the presidency and is trying to play party politics.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

Productive weekend! Finished the back wall. Figured out the stained glass shader and built a stain glass generator out of Designer. Going to figure out the marble flooring next. Lighting is still very WIP. Can't wait to make those books look like books! #gamedev #environmentart #unreal #ue5

Setting up my plans for #GDC2026 I'm going to try to do 3-4 days if I can manage it.

The plan will be doing my usual 1on1 portolio reviews on the expo floor.

Also I might be able to demo and portfolio review with LCAD at their booth as well.

Also will post a Portfolio vid on Youtube before GDC.

Yeah GameStop CEO is a MAGA chud, trying to bandwagon on to GG stuff is par for the course. It’s one of the reasons he “cost cut” Game Informer, he couldn’t turn it into a culture war brand to use for conservatives.

The idea that crunch is sustainable because we can put bodies to the problem is absolutely why is isn’t sustainable. We are in a crisis of people leaving the industry because of the past few years of volatility and uncertainty. We are going to have a void knowledge because that plus crunch as well.
I say this with utmost respect, but Taylor is an absolute tool for saying this privately or publicly.
I can say on good authority that it takes 7 to 10 years to develop game development skills to “good enough” to produce commercial game content. 7-10 years plus the cost of a university education.
