My general view is that dry baked goods & sweets on trains are fine, sandwiches & pastries with an Anglo-French filling are fine, but beyond that it’s a blanket ban and nothing before 10:30am.
Ugh. Other people’s food on trains. If I need to eat on a train - you know, something more than, say, a flapjack - I prefer to find a seat on my own, even if I have a comfortable table seat, than to inflict my ‘dining’ on anyone else.
