Hilariously, I've been saving into a Lifetime ISA for so long to help with a deposit that I may actually see the end of the Lifetime ISA (6-7 years).

If someone from Diageo isn't stealing that Honorary Liquor Licence idea they should shutter the whole business.
Honorary doctorate is such a funny concept. They should extend it to other things. Honorary drivers licence. Honorary liquor licence

£6 billion pounds in savings to the education budget? My mother, a teacher, is already buying pens and folders for kids out of her own pockets for a home county school.

Graduates to continue playing 9p/£ in extra tax due to artificially inflated interest rates with principal never going down? You expect them to look at the *other* triple lock and say "yes we'll vote for you"?

The issue with pissing off pub landlords is that they do tend to hold in their possession small courts of community opinion.

This is essentially a list of LBC talking points.
I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

Alcohol tax going up by inflation is a scam as its already a %, so its a double increase

Can kicked.
💥 Govt says fuel duty to *go up* from next September.

In the past the OBR has assumed that fuel duty would start to rise after a one-year freeze.

This time, the govt has said explicitly that it will only be frozen for five months, and will start increasing it after that.

Is Farage even there?

WHY?!
Cash ISA limit cut to £12,000 as expected - though only for under 65s! A new bias in the tax system towards pensioners is introduced....

Lovely article on The Fat Cat in Norwich; one of my all-timer pubs. A regular tradition used to be picking up a couple pins of beer from the Cat to take to Latitude festival where we’d set up a tent village of free beer, popular with both security & dealers.

Cool for Cats — The Fat Cat in Norwich, Norfolk — Pellicle
Night has fallen over The Fat Cat in Norwich, and I’ve been here long enough to watch the clientele change. I saw the post-work crowd rush in; now, as it thins, I head to the bar to order a pint of Ti...

As someone who irregularly drinks with farmers, particularly those around rural Northamptonshire, I can quite easily tell you.
Not quite sure what the independent MP for Hackney has done to cause ire to farmers, but you do you.

At the current rate of developments I'm going to go out on a limb and say we're about 4 years out from the New Right proposing that incest is fine.
The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

I hear Trump *Loves* Master & Commander: Far Side of The World.
Rush Hour 4 has officially been greenlit at Paramount just days after Donald Trump expressed a desire to see the buddy-cop franchise return.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are expected to reprise their roles from the original trilogy.

1883 is the best of the Yellowstone lot IMO, even 1923 falls far more on the soap opera side of things, 1883 has a bit of that but feels far more like a movie script Taylor Sheridan had in his back pocket.

If you’re in first class and the flight is over seven hours then it’s probably Ok. For us paupers in the back a simple blanket will suffice.
Is it acceptable to wear pyjamas on a flight?

61% of Brits say no, echoing US transport secretary Sean Duffy who criticised PJ-clad passengers yesterday

However, generations differ: 71% of 18-24yr olds say it is acceptable, compared to 11% of over-65s
