There is a risk of a pretty strong wind storm impacting the I-5 corridor from Weed, California north to the US/BC border on Christmas Eve.

Wind gusts to 115 km/h appear possible (but are on the high end of what's possible) with the strongest winds likely in W Oregon.

How rare is today's severe risk in the PacNW? IEM's SPC Day 1 Severe Risk database starts in 2002. #wawx #orwx

Since then, it's been 20 years for Olympia, 13 years for Seattle, 8 years for Portland, and for a small area a Slight Risk had not been issued before.
