No. Americans shouldn't have to toil in brutal factories assembly dolls. But, also, people around the world shouldn't be exploited like this either.

We have to change the framing of this stuff. Protecting Neoliberal Globalism to maintain American privilege is just authoritarianism light.

"Burn a Tesla, Save Democracy" is trending because of the protest in New York.

You don’t need to burn a Tesla. They catch fire on their own.

Let’s burn racism instead 🔥

I went from poverty to a graduate degree because of public schools and Pell grants.

Fuck Trump.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

I approach teaching with excess kindness.

I assume if someone misses a class or an assignment, it’s because they are having a hell of a time existing right now.

I frequently encourage them to tell me if they need extensions or to meet outside of office hours. These students are paying to be here.

I’m so exhausted by decision-makers in education refusing to invest in long-term solutions. If you don’t have the resources to do it right, you don’t have the resources to do it at all.

Was it insane to think we could use the internet to read and express ourselves and talk to each other without the machine swallowing us and selling us for parts? Was it naive to think we might use it instead of it using us?

News coverage of the Speaker situation would be greatly improved by more context that explains the role of gerrymandering. We see mention of GOPers in a few "Biden districts" without explanation that these people are redistricting anomalies up against safe colleagues with no incentive to compromise.
