Disability scholar here. This is an example of ableism called sanism, and it both endangers mentally ill ppl, already one of our most vulnerable populations, and does not help us come up with actionable ways to deal with the ppl in power who largely are greedy, ignorant, and malicious.

Pure propaganda. I see people posting on Facebook outraged about all the people “celebrating” the assassination, saying things like “I can’t believe this is what this country has come to” in apparent disgust. Even tho none of them can cite anyone they personally know doing it.

The propaganda works.
