Tonight's film is the musical fairy tale The Slipper and the Rose: The Story of Cinderella (1976). The handsome prince is played by gay actor Richard Chamberlain. The music is done by the Sherman Brothers.

RIP Richard Chamberlain. Met him over 2 days during filming of a scene at Southwark Cathedral for "The Slipper and the Rose". Me and best mate turning up/hanging out. He was an absolute gentleman and was fun! On day 2, he saw us and gave us a wink. I have pics and here's one from around the corner

Reading about the death of Richard Chamberlain reminded me of 'The Slipper and The Rose', which was my 'random film we had on VHS which defined my childhood'. I remember being absolutely enchanted by the costumes and musical numbers. Does anyone else remember this film?
