I don't admit IRL that my heart sinks at the angry townhalls, the 1000s of regretters. All the govt need do is take SS, Medicaid etc only from non-White, non-straight etc non-people, the same crowds will howl in joy. How funny that the reich have the will to do this and could hire the tech -- 1/2
Henry Bullinger could write in 1541 that "to say the truth, people did not inquire much, as it is no new thing to see men hanged, quartered, or beheaded, for one thing or another.”

These motherfuckers are going to kill children. I've been saying it for a year, but RFK Jr might as well be a serial murderer.

Watch: they'll start vaccine *bans* within a year.

multiple issues here:
-it’s unamerican and unconstitutional for the federal govt—and certainly the executive on its own, arbitrarily and in secret—to create a speech code for visa holders
-even if that was permissible, suddenly accosting her in the street and abducting her is wildly disproportionate
Marco Rubio on Rumeysa Ozturk: "We revoked her visa ... once you've lost your visa, you're no longer legally in the United States ... if you come into the US as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don't want it. We don't want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country."

How should we view the people giving names to the secret police?

/8 In what meaningful way is Israel an ally of the United States, as Israel is presently led?

If a country demands and encourages that secret police sweep up students from the street for writing critical op-eds, how is that country an ally and not an enemy to our basic values?

/7 Despite that, it’s clear that the administration is adopting the policy of Israel’s hard right — that dissent from Israel’s conduct is inherently illegitimate and worthy of sanction.

This leads me to questions.

Another reason that the "You're wildly overreacting when you suggest that there's a high risk the 2026/28 elections won't be free & fair" view is so deeply unserious is that, by any serious & actually democratic standard, our current elections are already not even free & fair.
If you don't want to see this horrible garbage happen in every future high-stakes election, make sure it demonstrably fails in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race by helping elect Susan Crawford
