Artists are getting the praise because they achieved something personally. It’s not *just* that some work of art looks cool, but it’s the fact that *YOU did this* and we are sharing the happiness of your accomplishment.

If you want to learn to make art, there are countless people out there willing to help you. The only thing is, you have to be willing to try. The AI pushers want what they perceive is the kudos for having made the art, but they don't want to try.

Still closed for 2025. Sorry folks, but on the upside I’ve got steady art freelance jobs lined up for the next 6 months!
I will be continuing to work on improving in the meantime and maybe open in 2026.

Incidentally I’ve been experimenting with fancier (x1.5-x2 the standard hours) to do more elaborate portraits that are more zoomed out as well if anyone was interested. This one was a double (so 2x regular time/price) for Cody since he lets me go feral on art history references ahaha

Here's the timelapse condensed to 30 seconds. I struggled a LOT in the general painting portion of it because I was trying to approach this like I do in Photoshop. You can see I dialed in super well at the end though. Hunting for good brushes to try outside the standard ones!

Every so often I catch gen ai proponents following me, and I gotta remind ya'll... generative ai has done so much damage to the professional art world, to artist's individually, and to me personally. If you support gen ai, you support something that has caused me a lot of pain. Go away.
