Actually bought the fabric, testing the layout before and after rotary cutting it to size. I think this will look nice as a disappearing 9 patch blocks, especially if I create identical blocks, there should be a nice repeating pattern with the white Galaxy fabric

I understand the allure of wanting to be a "carry guns and wear leather jackets" Black Panther but there's a case to be made that the most dangerous ones were the "feed kids breakfast and teach them about settler colonialism" Black Panthers
I hope we Americans can let go of our desire to be the individual Chosen One who leads the rebellion and punches every Nazi. Organizing is hard, it takes experience and resources and time. Stop fantasizing about being a superhero. Start joining existing groups and be part of collective action.

Ask local candidates for office if they have a library card. In a past job, none of them had library cards, and consequently, and unsurprisingly, kept trying to cut library funding.

I’m a public librarian in a degenerating democracy, and I am pleading: Care about your library. Use it. See what programs and events it offers. And pay attention to its governing body. See who the trustees are. Consider running yourself. Libraries will need all the community support they can get. 📚
