Hahaha my parents had this exact box. As a toddler in the early 80s, I remember being intimidated and fascinated by it. Fantastic design!

I’ve still got the 2600 from my childhood … works perfectly. Moving parts are the death of most consoles - hard drive platters, fans, optical media spinners. The 2600 has none.

literally all i remember from that whole season is the Punk on Bus scene. Oh yeah and the drummer in Scott Pilgrim's band becomes the Borg Queen.

- Replacing a busted guitar string in 30 seconds flat, before the audience turns on your drummer & bassist’s attempts to fill time with bad jokes
- a half dozen dead programming languages. (FOCUS, Ada, FoxPro, ActionScript…)

I never understood why everyone in Charlie Brown’s life, from his close child friends to adult total strangers, inexplicably hate his guts and treat him like garbage. He goes trick or treating with his friends, they all get candy, and he only gets rocks! WTF is wrong with that town?

You probably know this, so I’m probably just being an annoying Poindexter, but that machine doesn’t actually send electricity to the person - it just vibrates the handles at super high frequency, which feels uncannily like being shocked with electricity. :)

- constant dumb cliche analogies.
- sentences that have the “feel” of a joke but aren’t actually humorous in any way.
- repeating the same basic facts on the subject over and over in different ways.
- always seeming like they’re about to get to the point but never do.
It’s so frustrating and awful.
