Also note this is a distraction technique, same as they're exploiting McBride's success. Where she pees is nowhere near as consequential as Trump's efforts to loot the government, but now the right wing is looking only at the former, aided by lies that she started this fight.

I already see a bunch of "this is just a distraction" punditry, but try to remember that distractions that are hate crimes are still hate crimes. If someone hates crimes you, it would feel pretty shitty to have a bystander be like "just ignore that, it's a distraction"

The next available final hearing date, based on current backlog of 1,478,623 asylum cases pending, is in 2029—after Trump has left office.
