Mia’s officially home — 3 months old, cute as hell, and already running the place. She came all the way from Mississippi, thanks to an amazing rescue that literally hopped in a van last night and drove 1037 miles to get her to me.

I made the bees some food a few days ago. Was empty the next morning and wasn’t sure if they drank it all or something else got it. So I refilled it, next AM empty.
Refilled this morn and spectated to see what was getting it. Barely 40 minutes and it was empty. I think I started a bee crack den.

There’s probably around 14k in there. I started a few weeks late into the season. The plan is not to take any honey until next spring, letting them build up their colony which would probably be around 20-25k and have enough honey for themselves stored for winter.
