Formerly SomebodyOwens. I used to undress people for a living. Come for the talk about backstage life, stay for the yelling about kpop, D&D, and romance novels. She/her, bi & ace. 21+

One of my favorite tropes is an older guy being like, “I’m old, I’m past my prime, sex can’t be a priority for an old man like me, I should give up—“ and a younger man looking at him like “I want to erotically hunt that old man for sport”

Update, I was at my desk until 6 today, and the deadlines keep multiplying! I am: so tired
I kept saying that once I made it through Tuesday evening and my workshop was done, work would calm waaaay down

I went flat out for 8 hours today, suggesting my hopes were perhaps unrealistic

AI automation =/= AI generation. the scripts to automatically transcribe voice to text or whether your party character prioritizes Attack or Defense isn't the same as algorithms generating randomized results out of an amalgamation of existing data. conflating them is intentionally misleading.

I use an Android phone, perhaps many others do to. I'm posting the article as a public announcement.
New Android malware lets criminals control your phone and drain your bank account
Albiriox now targets over 400 financial apps and lets criminals operate your phone almost exactly as if it were in their hands.

You are washing your hands not only to prevent spread, you're also washing them because Norovirus lives on surfaces for a LONG time and then you'll touch your face/nose/eyes/mouth/food and that's how you get it.

Wash hands OFTEN, sanitizer will not kill it and you'll be miserable.
Another reminder to WASH YOUR HANDS.

Make it easy for employees to wash their hands.

Give them PTO to stay home when they are sick.

What else are we supposed to do when Jewish identity is invoked to justify state violence? The claim was explicit: Police violence would ensure my safety as a Jewish student. My secular practice never stopped me from experiencing antisemitism. So it can't prevent me from claiming the identity.

Thread on how to detect ai in that viral dog video
Yeah, I mean, I'm critical of any video nowadays that is trying to elicit an emotional response, especially when it's asking for subs at the end. It's weird that all the people seem to end up with the dog they want. And shelters are overflowing, where are the rooms full of people wanting to adopt?

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

This is amazing! And a reminder that the work of art is to expand our mind and consider the world in new ways which is also key for our survival.
Alt text for those who need it. This is amazing.

Kobo Plus pays fairly! It's often half of my Kobo income.

(I don't know how audiobooks in Kobo Plus work, just b/c I'd only loaded my audiobooks there in the past month, but I assume it's the same)
Does Kobo Plus pay decently? I have it but I also buy a bunch through Kobo.
