I guess I should introduce myself. Hi! I'm Telly. I'm 34, and I'm a disabled Navy veteran. I've been married for 16 years, and we have one kiddo. I'm autistic, kiddo is autistic. Hubster is a 20 year Navy retiree, also disabled. Between the two of us, we've seen almost the entire world.

Have we tried the "if we take care of people and meet their needs, they'd be a lot less likely to take money to spy for a foreign power" angle to encourage the us government to suck less?

Sometimes, I realize I have forgotten who I am. I am the eldest daughter. I enlisted in the Navy during war time, the first woman in my family to do so. I survived three deployments while my command did their best to smear my name, and I did it all without compromising my morals.
