Absolutely devastated to hear about Jane Goodall's passing. She was a champion in the field and for women biologists. She will be sorely missed, but her memory will live on to inspire generations of biologists and conservationists.

Lots of great resources online (thanks Google) and tips from west coast friends who have been through it. Scary to think about but grateful to have the time to prepare and hope that I never need it and can just unpack it all in a few days. So many don’t get that time. Thank you NL firefighters!

Reflecting on my privilege the past few days as I prepare to potentially evacuate due to a wildfire for the first time - what goes in The Bag, what my dog needs, who between my partner and I could be level-headed and start the drive.
