And the funding announcement for diversity supplements now has been updated to expire today. Supplements are so important to the careers of junior scientists. This is crushing for post docs and early career faculty

Being an involved parent in academia means that you are going to drop balls with regularity; it helps to learn which balls are glass and which balls are rubber; but when in doubt, I’m not going to drop the ones that involve my kids, even if it means dropping a glass work related one

Groundhog for R is so good for reproducibility.

You just load your packages with it and voila, anyone who runs your script will have the same package versions.

One less hurdle to reproducible code.
