There are literal revolutions over this.

Meanwhile the old grifter is drifting the fuck out of us (one example, my dear wife had to pay a $35 tariff for a goddamn teddy bear from South Korea!)
The President of the United States unilaterally levied a tax on all of us and is redistributing our taxes to a core segment of his supporters.
Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"

I would tell Dr Oz he doesn't have to eats all of Trump's dingleberries
NEW: Dr. Oz is quite literally telling his federal employees to eat less.

“You don't have to try every cookie on the holiday table,” wrote Mehmet Oz in an email to all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services employees.

It is newsworthy that the president of the United States is increasingly verbally abusive of women reporters and he should be asked about it.

Congressional investigations are likely the ONLY accountability this administration will face. Bondi won't arrest anyone. US officials can't be tried at the Hague. And even if we get a new AG in 2029, Trump is going to pardon everyone. These midterms are crucial for accountability.

The most transparent administration in history is now hiding both the complete Epstein files and the complete video of the Sept. 2 boat strike from the American people, only releasing the parts of each that they want you to see while concealing the rest.

When you've lost Bill Kristol. But yeah common sense is persona non grata with Kegstand
If the Sep. 2 boat really had "narco-terrorists" on board, questioning the survivors would have been a way to learn about how the organization worked, where more drugs were stashed, etc. But this isn't a counter-terrorism campaign. It's a shooting gallery with helpless targets.

Why do these new shows need to worry about making this guy mad enough that he God forbid might not come back on their little program? He can just scuttle off to his propaganda networks. He needs the MSM more than they need him
At some point someone just needs to say “you are an indecent person, you are lying to cover the slaughter of defenseless men, you know you are lying, and even under the tenets of your own professed faith you will certainly burn in hell if you continue down this path”
WELKER: Isn't it possible that even the act of taking off a t shirt could've been part of an attempt to get attention for help?

TOM COTTON: Or it could've been an attempt to signal to another cartel boat to come pick them up and pick up the cargo

I wrote a little (sorry a *lot*) about the new films HAMNET and SENTIMENTAL VALUE (Spoilers, but most important: they are very good to great) about dads, art, kids, and did I mention art?

Casablanca: now in color and with a happy ending.

(this is a Gremlins 2 reference ironically enough)
Netflix, which rarely carries a single movie from before 1980, wants you to know how thrilled they are to acquire that classic piece of franchise IP, Casablanca

Good thread on why the possibility of the current Scotus overturning or fucking up the Birthright Citizenship "question" is so catastrophic
the birthright clause was not just written to wipe dred scott off of the books, it was written to repudiate the *idea* behind dred scott, you might say the larger *ideological project* of dred scott. and the whole of section 1 of the 14th amendment is a constitutional statement of political equality

Garth: "Did you ever find it attractive when Bugs Bunny put on a dress and played a girl bunny?"
Wayne: "... No... LOL No!"
Garth: "Neither did I, was just asking."
Another crisis is unfolding.

I keep seeing the take this morning "This Netflix-WBD deal sucks, but at least it's not Paramount/Skydance" and I just want to say that just because you are not eating actual poop from off the ground doesn't mean that poop-pie ala The Help you got in your teeth is good for you either.

Or: Chief Justice during Dred Scott
If you see John Roberts in person, be sure to tell him he’s a worse Chief Justice than Roger Taney (pronounced “tawny”). That’s a nerd burn that will hit him where it counts.

Democrats can retaliate against these GOP gerrymanders with new maps in Illinois, Maryland, Oregon, & Virginia.

They could flip 7 GOP seats to make up for this & new GOP maps in Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, & possibly soon Indiana.

Imposing costs is the only way to deter the GOP from doing this

The reason the judiciary functions is because judges understand that despite everyone being human beings who hold grudges and have stupid opinions and peccadilloes and flaws, there is a sense that you have to justify what you're doing on more than "because I say so."

This Court is undermining that.

I don't think the Justices understand the extent to which they are playing with fire. The more they do this, the more District Courts will engage in open disrespect of the Supreme Court, because what other response is there to open disrespect directed at them? That's bad for the Judiciary, period.

I know it os unlokely the pardon power will ever be gobe for good. But w1hen all this is over - and this is in mind we have a functional gov run by dems - the pardon power has to be reformed to one key thing: a president *cannot pardon people for crimes that involves himself*
Pardon historians and experts say there are few — if any — historic parallels to the combination of Trump’s vague blanket pardon and the delegation of its implementation to subordinates. The only one close? Trump’s pardon for Jan. 6 defendants. www.politico.com/news/2025/12...

This is the story tonight. Every Dem who was in that room should be telling us what they saw.
Himes: "What I saw in that room was one of the most troubling things I've seen in my time in public service ... any American who sees the video that I saw will see the US military attacking shipwrecked sailors."
