Sh2-142, the Wizard Nebula, and open cluster NGC 7380 are located about 8500 light years away in the direction of Cepheus. The red glowing emission nebula is primarily heated by the massive binary star system DH Cephei

This distinctive tree is located in Tehidy Country Park in Cornwall and was selected as part of the Queen's Ancient Canopy - 70 ancient woodlands and trees - for the Platinum Jubilee. Yes, I am making up the quotee...IYKYK. And yes, I am giving ya another black and white of my Mule Deer buck with snow on his antlers, this time a fav close-up profile with one ear and a side eye locked on against a snowy bramble background in bokeh. You know what happens when I leave a file open. I love the detail here, you can see his wet patches of fur and the whiskers on his chinny-chin chin. I know I gave you deer peeps a buck profile last week too, but there's a form you have to file to complain about my black and white deer edits. See my wife for a copy.
